In recent days, the well-known Google vehicle carrying the equipment for taking images, which the company then uses in the Google Maps service, was found in Xanthi.
The vehicle traveled the streets of the city, photographing the area for a second time so that these images could then be used to enrich the relevant service that is offered free of charge to its users.
The vehicle was found again in the area for the first time in 2011.
For several months now, the company has been offering its users the ability to navigate in 3D via Google Maps' Street View service, both in Xanthi and in Greece more broadly, something that was not possible until recently.
