Foursquare-like location update feature added to Google Maps

Google has announced that the Google Maps apps for iOS and Android devices are adding an “Explore Nearby” button based on Foursquare .

First, for the new feature to work, the user must have the option to declare location (instructions for iOS and Android).

With “Explore Nearby”, Google gives the user information about what they can do around the area they have visited, where they can eat, drink coffee, etc., while there is no shortage of information about the weather in the surrounding area.

Android users will be able to enter additional information about the places they visit, making the feature even more accurate.
