Google suggested that Google Apps users register the domain name of their choice using an official registrar before starting the process.
This changed with Google Domains, Google's new service for registering new domain names.
Google charges $12 per year for each domain name, while it is possible to transfer a domain namefrom another registrar to Google.
Also, through the service, Google provides 100 email addresses for each registered domain, managed through Gmail, as in Google Apps.
The company states that it will support all extensions, but it is not known what will happen to those of the countries, such as .gr, .it, etc.
Google will enable anonymous domain registration at no additional cost, unlike most registrars.
For now, access to the service is by invitation , while anyone interested can express their interest by filling out the special form.
The new service is here.
