Mark Zuckerberg and his wife donated $120 million to the San Francisco Elementary Education Service in the USA.
Zuckerberg's wife stated that the amount they gave was not a terrible thing since education in the US is very expensive and what they are trying to do is offer a change mindset by investigating and promoting the development of new interventions and models in education.
This amount will be utilized over the next 5 years, with the first 5 million being given directly to school units in the Ravenswood and Redwood City areas of San Francisco for building infrastructure, construction of new classrooms and procurement of technological equipment.
Thus, the Zuckerberg couple took their first philanthropic step, and it is possible that we will see more in the future.
