Technology company Hewlett-Packard announced on Thursday that it will cut 16,000 jobs worldwide.
The company had already announced a reduction in its workforce by 34,000 employees, as part of an effort that had begun in May 2012 aimed at restructuring HP.
The tech giant decided to cut more jobs after announcing that sales profits in the second quarter of 2014 fell by one percentage point, to $27.3 billion.
