A computer, the keys with letters, the lit screen and nothing around. Only the user who has in front of him a whole range of people who he may not see, but feel them.
Facebook is the privileged space of lonely people, that is, the vast majority around the world. According to a study conducted by Charles Sturt University in Australia and which will be published in July in the journal “Computers in Human Behaviour”, 79% of users describe themselves as lonely. They are the ones who mention a lot of personal information in their posts. In fact, they tend to make many posts during the day.
Among the personal details they reveal publicly are their favorite books and movies. For the needs of the research, special attention was paid to Facebook posts, while more than 600 women took part, half of whom did not hide their loneliness.
In fact, almost 98% of "lonely" users shared their personal status publicly on Facebook, i.e. whether they were in a relationship, etc., instead of just sharing it with their close friends, while they did not hesitate to share information, such as their home address.
On the contrary, this type of people rarely take a position on political or religious issues, but are limited to completely personal matters.
The bad thing is that psychologists warn that dependence on social media can lead to the opposite results, such as "Facebook depression," as doctors call it.
