English criminals are stealing marijuana from plantations using cutting-edge technology!
Who would have expected that the criminals of this world would be at the forefront of technological innovation?
Not the English police, obviously, who were amused by the works and days of the most technologically skilled gang on the planet!
Apparently taking the idea from the country's own police, who have long used thermal cameras to fight crime (hydroponic plantations require high temperatures, immediately detectable by thermal imaging technology), the criminals changed the rules of the game, turning the organized crime scene upside down.
So a gang in the English countryside (Shropshire province) is using unmanned flying (and very intelligent of course) robots to locate marijuana plantations and steal the crop or blackmail the growers!
A member of the gang who was arrested even said that he doesn't feel bad at all about stealing "weed" from underworld farmers, as within organized crime, it has always been the thief who steals. "It's not unfair at all," said the 33-year-old man who did not want to be named, "it's not like we're using drones to see if people have good TVs. We're hunting to find and sell drugs. If you're outlaws, then you'll understand me and the people with drones.".
"Most of the time, we don't even have to use force to seize the crop," the thug added, in what seems like a good (?) way. Better, at least, than the bloody settling of scores in the underworld.
Now state authorities are desperately seeking to dismantle the tech gang, with local MP Tom Watson observing the obvious, that the history of tech-savvy criminals shows that “the proliferation of drone technology can be used for both good and evil.”.
As a society, we still have a lot to see in the drone sector. And alongside our concerns about the flying dangers of Google and Amazon, we must now add the underworld…
