A journalist from Great Britain came across one of these by chance, who, while surfing Facebook, discovered a page through which kidneys are sold for a fee.
The journalist was tempted and decided to send a message saying that he needed a kidney.
The first to respond was a father, who asked for 30,000 pounds to give up his, while the second was a 22-year-old Hungarian who wanted 20,000 in order to return to his country with his pregnant fiancée.
Similar interest was also shown from other parts of the world, such as Mexico and Tanzania.
Donors were willing to travel to countries such as Pakistan, India and China to undergo kidney removal surgery for £20,000.
The relevant laws for advertising and selling organs over the internet are strictly punishable in Britain with a prison sentence of up to 5 years.
