The first cars with CarPlay, Apple's platform that will allow drivers to easily access services on their iPhone, will be launched in 2014. The American company has secured the cooperation of several automakers, as CarPlay will debut in a few months in selected models from BMW, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Kia Motors, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Peugeot-Citroën, Subaru, Suzuki and Toyota.

The platform was presented by Apple last summer, under the name "iOS in the Car", and includes a touchscreen, integrated into the car dashboard, from which the driver will have access to their phone's services.

At the same time, by pressing a button on the steering wheel, the driver will activate the "digital assistant" Siri so that, through voice commands, he can dictate text messages, make phone calls, or activate the map service. In addition to speaking the instructions that will lead the car to its destination, Siri will also take over reading incoming messages or notifications.

CarPlay will also allow you to play music stored on your smartphone, as well as use iTunes Radio in countries where it is available. It will also provide access to select third-party music services, such as Spotify.

The platform is compatible with iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5S.
