After studying English literature in Greece, she boarded a plane and arrived in Melbourne for her master's degree in Global Media Communication. She began working as a journalist at the Greek diaspora newspaper "Neos Kosmos", but then changed direction once again.
Together with a group of three other young people, they created WeTeachMe. This is a website that initially included those who offer various tutoring courses. However, it soon evolved and now they are essentially engaged in providing advice on the creation and promotion of new businesses, while also providing a comprehensive online office support program.
The development of the website is such that it is expected to soon expand abroad. This was the reason why Markogiannaki was included in the 50 of Shoestring Startups magazine, for the most successful female entrepreneurs in Australia under the age of 50. A list that also includes another Greek woman, Emma Petroula, as reported by APE.
