How Facebook almost sent a man to prison - He wrote… punishment online to escape

When someone is in a divorce lawsuit, they have to be very careful about what they say. Even more so, what they write. Even on Facebook. Because one post almost sent a man to prison.

Mark Byron decided to vent his frustrations about his son's custody battle on social media. "If you're a mean vengeful wife who wants to ruin your husband's life and take your son away from his father, all you have to do is say you're scared," Byron wrote on Facebook, referring to one of his wife's arguments during the divorce.

The American thought he was covered up - he had blocked his ex-wife from seeing his posts - but a well-wisher was found. So she printed the post and presented it to the court, asking to be charged with contempt of court.

The strange thing is that the court agreed with her and gave the ex-husband a strange choice. Either he would apologize every day for a month on Facebook, or he would go to jail for 60 days. The choice was the obvious one.
