M6 MacBook Pro: Improvements
The M6 chip will be the first to be built on TSMC 's 2-nanometer process , a significant upgrade from the 3-nanometer process that Apple has used in recent generations of chips. Additionally, TSMC's new chips will move from InFo (Integrated Fan-Out) packaging to WMCM (Wafer-Level Multi-Chip Module).
