Jarcom Ltd is taking a dig at Apple's Touch ID. By touting that their "FaceCrypt" app is unhackable, the company aims to deliver the most comprehensive way to secure iPhone through a simple app.
Apple's Touch ID requires you to place your finger on the Home button to unlock your iPhone 5s, but FaceCrypt only looks at your face and identifies you as the device's owner.
It literally unlocks your phone with a glance, because it actually requires you to blink your eyes to make sure there's no one else using a photo of you in front of the camera. Pretty clever!
“FaceCrypt answers the ultimate need for protection, offering enhanced biometric facial recognition technology with pattern and password protection, as well as strong data encryption for DataVault, with full backup and restore,” claims Jarcom Ltd.
The company is offering the entire package for just $6.99/€5.99, while the basic app sells for $4.99/€4.49.
