"It's the perfect Christmas gift for an iPhone user," says Schmidt - Instructions on what someone needs to do to get iPhone apps on their Android
“Android smartphones are a great Christmas gift for an iPhone user.” This statement was not made by Motorola Mobility boss Dennis Woodside or Samsung’s mobile division head Jong-Kyun Shin (both companies use Android).
In a post on his Google+ social network account, Google executive chairman Eric Schmidt urges his friends to ditch the iPhone and switch to Android phones.
"Android smartphones have better screens, are faster, and have an intuitive user interface," Schmidt wrote, referring to smartphones that Google helped build, such as the Nexus 5 and Motorola's own Droid Ultra, as well as the Samsung S4.
In particular, Mr Google describes what the user must do to obtain the apps they used on their iPhone, transfer their contacts via synchronization with their Gmail account, and transfer their photos and music to Google's cloud services.
Schmidt also points his finger at Apple's Safari at the end of his message, writing: "Make sure you're using Chrome, not Safari. It's a safer and better browser, in many ways.".
However, it is worth noting that Schmidt's admonition, on the one hand, garnered about 500 comments, but some of them were not so positive. Some said that he failed to mention the problems of rotation.
