in the footsteps of Snapchat is a new service called SecretInk, which allows users to send self-destructing emails.
This is a new add-on that can be used with Gmail and other email services and which ensures that the NSA cannot access your private messages.
Behind SecretInk is the company PowerInbox, which explains:
“As soon as the recipient reads the email, it self-destructs and is deleted from the server. The NSA has never asked us to access our users’ data. If they do, we will shut down the service immediately.”
Finally, the company clarifies that SecretInk is intended solely for the protection of users' privacy. In case you don't want the recipient to have proof of your message, you should keep in mind that they may take a screenshot upon receiving the email.
