The Cybercrime Prosecution Service and the Financial Police Service scanned the internet and identified dozens of websites where illegal games are being played.
A case was filed for the 482 illegal gambling websites, while it was determined that access to them is no longer possible from internet service providers in our country
The relevant investigations, combined with the lifting of secrecy, resulted in the identification of four hundred and eighty-two (482) websites providing gambling services, which operated without the formalities required by law.
At the same time, the countries through which they operated and in which their servers were based were also identified. Specifically, out of all the illegal websites, it emerged that (5) were based in our country and the remaining (477) were based in various foreign countries.
A case file was filed for these cases, which was submitted to the Athens First Instance Prosecutor's Office, while it was determined that access to them is no longer possible from internet service providers in our country.
