An app for Android devices promises to maintain a decent connection to the web, albeit at slow speeds, even when the signal is almost non-existent. Be-Bound relies on the 2G network.
“We started with a simple observation. Everyone has experienced connectivity issues, even in enclosed spaces like trains, subways, inside buildings, or other areas with low connectivity,” explained Albert Szulman, CEO of Be-Bound.
The app is free to download from Google Play, while users will be asked to pay for its use with special prepaid “credits” called Be-Miles.
According to the company, the app is much cheaper than roaming costs and is therefore ideal for traveling abroad. It integrates email, weather, news and Twitter functions.
In fact, the company claims that even when there is no connection problem, Be-Bound can be used, providing faster connection to the Web and reducing data usage.
