As technology evolves, it becomes more and more integrated into our daily lives. But who would have thought a few years ago that using a device you could find things scattered around your home or even "control" your dreams? Last Monday, five technological products that generations of 40 and older would never have imagined even in their wildest teenage dreams were presented on Kickstarter.
1. Chipolo – Bluetooth item finder
How many times have you been in a hurry and unable to leave the house because you are looking for your keys? This innovative device comes to provide the solution to the permanent problem of abstract objects as it manages to locate objects within a fairly large range via Bluetooth. Chipolo will connect to iPhones, smartphones and other electronic devices, while its price will be relatively low. The project was presented on Kickstarter on Monday and is expected to be released in December.2.Luci – Lucid dream-inducing headband
The short period of time we spend between sleep and wakefulness is perhaps one of the most relaxing moments in life. In addition, during this time the brain is "confused" and so in a way you can control your dream for a while, by bringing or adding your own details. Luci is a mask-device that uses soft sounds to keep the body in this state for a longer time. In other words, it gives us control of our dream for a long time. Compared to previous, failed attempts, Luci incorporates a new technology that can distinguish deep sleep from light sleep, but also read brain waves.
3.Retriever – Solar-powered GPS tracker
A GPS straight out of… Hollywood is ready to hit the market, as the Retrievor provides capabilities that until now we thought only James Bond’s GPS could have. Having a self-charging system, it does not need to be connected to any other device and is completely independent. In addition, it is capable of locating every small detail on the world map with surprisingly improved accuracy compared to older corresponding devices.
4.Cricket – Bluetooth bike alarm system
After chains and padlocks, comes a new anti-theft system for bicycles, much more modern. It is Cricket, a device that connects via Bluetooth to the owner's mobile phone and informs him of the distance of the bicycle from him. If the bicycle moves far enough, the device informs the owner directly. It may not be the best anti-theft system, but at least it gives a greater sense of security.
5. Mab Sphere – Robotic house cleaning swarm
This is a device that those who are not particularly good at housework will love. The Mab Sphere is essentially a robot sphere that takes over the cleaning of the house. Once properly programmed, it initially scans the entire space it has to clean and when it is ready, it releases 908 small robots in various parts of the space ready to clean it.
