Previously, NotebookLM's video overviews could only create narrated slideshows with static images and diagrams. The upgraded version uses a combination of Google's advanced AI models, including Gemini 3, Nano Banana Pro, and Veo 3, to produce animated graphics based on the content of users' notes.

Users can create up to 20 cinematic video overviews per day, and the creation happens in the background, allowing you to work on other tasks in Studio while you work.
Google has confirmed that it plans to expand to more languages, as well as add more visual styles and custom options.
