According to Korean website The Elec , Apple's first MacBook Pro models with OLED displays will be released in the fourth quarter of 2026 .
Samsung Display is expected to begin mass production of eighth-generation OLED displays for the device in May. Samsung plans to ship two million of these displays to Apple by the end of the year. The displays will be shipped to Foxconn starting in the third quarter of 2026 for assembly into the final devices.

Some components of the device are reportedly still in development, as Apple has changed the design of some parts to reduce manufacturing costs. Chinese company BOE is also hoping to supply Apple with OLED displays for the MacBook Pro, but only units with Samsung displays will be available this year.
The fourth quarter of 2026 extends from October to December.

What can we expect from the first OLED MacBook Pro?
The OLED MacBook Pro is expected to come in two screen size options: 14 and 16 inches. It will be equipped with the M6 series chip and will receive the first full redesign since 2021.
The device will also feature a touchscreen, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. This claim has been confirmed by Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, who also reported that the laptops will have “thinner and lighter bezels.” Apple seems to be focused on delivering a as possible device that is as thin without compromising on battery life or significant new features.

The redesigned 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models are also expected to feature a hole-punch camera at the top of the display, which could potentially be housed in a pill-shaped cutout (similar to the Dynamic Island ), instead of the notch that MacBook Pro owners are accustomed to.
