Additionally, it appears that Apple is ending its partnership with Barclays, which was the bank behind the iPhone Upgrade Program in the UK.

In place of the iPhone Upgrade Program, Apple has launched a new “Flexible Financing Account” in the UK in partnership with Creation, a Belfast-based consumer finance company.

The Flexible Financing Account offers multiple financing options, including a 20-month plan that lets you upgrade after 11 monthly payments each year. There's also a 30-month plan that lets you upgrade after 23 monthly payments. Unlike the iPhone Upgrade Plan, it doesn't include AppleCare.

Apple's decision to discontinue the iPhone Upgrade Program in the UK and replace it with the Flexible Financing Account could have a significant impact on customers who were used to the previous system. The new program offers more flexibility and choice for consumers, but the lack of built-in AppleCare may be a deterrent for some.

The partnership with Creation marks a new strategic approach by Apple to the UK market, offering customers more financing options and greater flexibility in their purchases. The move can be interpreted as Apple’s attempt to adapt to the changing needs of consumers and offer solutions that better meet their financial capabilities.

This change comes at a time when consumers are looking for more choice and flexibility in their purchases, especially in a time of economic uncertainty. Apple appears to recognize this need and is adjusting its offerings to remain competitive in the market.

It's also important to note that Apple's new approach may affect its relationship with other financial companies, as working with Creation may open up new possibilities for future partnerships and offerings.
