The modern version of WinZip has received a completely new update, for full support for Windows 8.1 and compatibility with more cloud services.
According to the official release notes, WinZip now comes to Windows 8 and 8.1 with support for 22 new file formats, including: .gz, .bz, .ISO, .CAB, .B64, .BHX, .BZ, .BZ2, .CAB, .HQX, .LHA and .LHZ, .MIM, .TAZ, .TBZ, .TBZ2 .TGZ, .TZ, .UU, .UUE .XXE, and .Z.
Additionally, the app can now work with the ZIP and ZIPX file storage service, CloudMe, and also includes options to customize the app with various background images.
WinZip of Windows 8 and 8.1 developed by Microsoft, including the tablet operating system, as well as x86 and x64 desktop versions.
