Google Launchpad will be held from October 7th to 8th.
Next week, specifically on October 7, Google is bringing Google Launchpad to Athens, a free four-day seminar for new start-ups and is inviting developers and start-up enthusiasts from all over Greece to participate, share ideas and technical skills, and form teams to create products and run their own start-up businesses.
Google employees and speakers from the international developer community will be present to guide participants and present key tools through various seminars such as the User Interface/User Experience Workshop, Proof Of Concept Development Workshop, and Marketing/Pitch Skills Workshop.
At the end of the week, the teams will present their work to a select panel of entrepreneurs and the best ideas will receive further support to realize them. The support will include three months of office space and facilities, legal and accounting advice and consulting services from iqbility (https://www.iqbility.com/) and workshops and seminars on legal and accounting issues, and for web design and web development offered by Found.ation (https://www.thefoundation.gr/). In addition, participating teams will receive $2,000 credit for using the Google Cloud Platform in order to launch their own web or mobile application.
Greece is the second country to host Google Launchpad, following its launch at Google Campus Tel Aviv. Google Launchpad is part of Google’s global effort to empower entrepreneurs around the world through programs, partnerships, and its products themselves, with the aim of providing meaningful economic opportunities to people, businesses, and communities.
The Google Launchpad will take place at the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Athens (formerly the National Conservatory), from Monday, October 7 to Thursday, October 10. The number of participants is limited and all interested parties can register on the special submission form until Thursday, October 3.
