Apple has announced a five-year partnership as the exclusive broadcast partner for Formula 1 in the US, starting with the 2026. The first race weekend is scheduled for March 6-8, and the service is expected to be available on the TV app before then, including pre-season content. All Formula 1 content will be available at no additional cost with an Apple TV subscription.

The TV app will feature streaming of all practice sessions, qualifying, sprints and Grand Prix races throughout the season. New screenshots reveal that the platform will include driving camera streaming with support for Multiview, allowing viewers to see multiple perspectives simultaneously during a race. Multiview is supported on Apple TV, iPad and Apple Vision Pro devices.

Previously, access to the driving cameras required a subscription to F1.TV. Apple has said that more announcements about “production details” and “product improvements” will be made in the coming months, suggesting that the TV app will evolve with additional features over time.

For dedicated fans, there is no limit to the features available directly on the TV app. Users can log in to the F1.TV website or apps using their Apple TV account, maintaining access to the sport as subscribers have previously. Rather than paying for a separate subscription to F1.TV, it is now included as a perk of an Apple TV subscription.
