AT&T announced that starting December 1, 2025, the prices of its home internet plans will increase by $5/month. This increase is the second consecutive year that the company has adjusted its prices. According to an email, the increase applies to all its customers.

AT&T’s statement, via spokesperson Jim Kimberly, reads: “As we work to meet the evolving needs of our business and manage rising operating costs, we are adjusting the prices of our online plans to maintain the high-quality service our customers have come to expect. We are committed to keeping customers informed about these updates and their options. To help offset these changes, customers who are not already enrolled in Autopay and Paperless Billing can receive a $10 per month discount by signing up with an eligible bank account or a $5 discount with a debit card. Customers can review full details about their plan and associated charges on their monthly statements or by visiting att.com.”
Kimberly notes that while the new price increase will apply to all AT&T internet plans, it will not affect customers who signed up within the last year or those through AT&T's Access from AT&T for low-income households.

AT&T's decision comes at a time when consumers are already facing increased costs in many areas of their daily lives. The company argues that the increases are necessary to maintain quality of service and cover rising operating costs. At the same time, it is offering options to mitigate the burden on its customers, such as discounts through Autopay and Paperless Billing.
It's important to note that these increases will not affect newly signed-up customers or those participating in the Access from AT&T program, which provides affordable internet solutions to low-income households. This shows an effort by the company to protect its most vulnerable customer groups from price increases.
AT&T is urging customers to check their monthly statements to stay informed of changes and consider options to reduce their costs. The company emphasizes the importance of transparency and informing customers about price changes and the options available to them.

AT&T's decision is expected to provoke a backlash from its customers, who may feel they are being further burdened in an already difficult economic climate. However, the company appears determined to move forward with the increases, citing the need to maintain the quality of its services.
