One of the best uses of camera is scanning documents, and Google lets you do that on Android through various of its apps. Now, it looks like that feature has received a useful and less time-consuming improvement.

Google has quietly introduced an upgrade to its MLKit, which is used in apps like Google Drive, Files by Google, the Pixel camera app, and a few others. Documents will now be automatically enhanced immediately after scanning them. Additionally, a button will appear in the top right after scanning a document that allows you to remove the enhancement on Android devices.

The image enhancement feature is already available in Google Drive and other apps, but until now it required you to go to the filters menu first. So having the enhancement button appear and automatically applying the effect right after scanning a document is a more convenient and less time-consuming addition. This small change appears to be available in version 25.17.30 of the Google Play Services app , and we can confirm that it works on Pixel 7 Pro devices. So it's very likely that it's already available for many of your users.

Google seems to be putting more emphasis on improving the document scanning experience on Android devices, integrating features that previously required more steps or external apps.
