Before 2020, WWDC was a physical event that brought people together from all over the world. It was held at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose. However, since COVID-19 came into our lives, the event began to be held online. Now, even though there are no longer any restrictions, Apple continues to hold WWDC online (mostly). One positive is that this way, more developers can experience WWDC since there are no participation restrictions.
