Just the day before (December 8), Jay-Z categorically denied allegations that he and Sean “Diddy” Combs a 13-year-old girl during an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty in 2000.
The case came to light again on Sunday, when a federal lawsuit that was originally filed against Combs alone was amended to include Jay-Z. The plaintiff, known by the pseudonym “Jane Doe,” claimed that she was assaulted by the two famous music entrepreneurs, while an unnamed female celebrity was reportedly present and watching the incident.

Mr. Carter described the lawsuit filed by attorney Tony Buzbee as an “attempted extortion,” calling the allegations against him “absurd.”
What did Jay-Z say?
“We do not participate in such games. We follow strict codes of ethics and honor. We protect children and, from what it seems, you are exploiting people for personal gain,” he said.
"Only your network of conspiracy theorists and pseudoscience advocates could accept the absurd claims you make against me. Were it not for the seriousness of the harm being done to children, these claims would simply be ridiculous."

He continued: "My only concern is for my family. My wife and I will need to talk to our children, especially our one daughter who is at an age where her friends will likely read the press and ask questions about the nature of these allegations. We will need to explain to them the cruelty and greed of some people."
Mr. Buzbee commented via social media, stating, among other things: “Mr. Carter has previously denied that he was the one who filed the lawsuit against me and my company. He filed his baseless lawsuit using a pseudonym.”
“What he fails to mention in his recent statement is that my firm sent his lawyer a letter of demand on behalf of an alleged victim. The victim in question, however, never asked him for a single euro. Instead, he exclusively sought a confidential mediation process.”
"From the moment I sent the letter on her behalf, Mr. Carter not only sued me, but attempted to intimidate and harass me, as well as the plaintiff. However, his actions had the opposite effect. She demonstrated courage and determination that fill me with pride."

Mr. Combs remains in prison after being charged with sex trafficking and extortion in September, charges he has denied and pleaded not guilty to. He denies all charges against him, including the most recent lawsuit.
His legal team commented that the amended lawsuit is the latest in a series of “reckless publicity stunts designed to extort payments from celebrities, exploiting the fear that false accusations will spread, just as has happened to Mr. Combs.”
At the film's premiere, Mr. Carter symbolically raised a peace sign for the camerasas he walked the red carpet with his family. Shortly afterward, he and Beyoncé were photographed laughing as they helped their daughter manage her dress's impressive train on the way to the premiere.
Blue Ivy, who makes her feature film debut in “Mufasa: The Lion King,” voices Princess Kiara. Kiara’s character first appeared in Disney’s sequel, “The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride.” As the eldest daughter of Queen Nala, Kiara is closely connected to her mother’s story, a role that Beyoncé reprises after her performance in 2019’s “The Lion King.” Actor and musician Donald Glover also returns as Simba.
