With the completion of Arcane's second season, it becomes apparent that Viktor's character is significantly different from his League of Legends.
However, data miners have found files and images on the PBE that suggest it's about to receive a complete visual and gameplay overhaul. Arcane is a TV show that has the potential to permanently influence its source material, and Riot is taking full advantage of that for League of Legends. Additionally, more TV shows will be set in this universe.

Those who have watched the series know that Viktor's final form retains his bizarre third arm laser, harking back to his design in League. However, almost every other element of his character remains unrecognizable. According to datamining from the PBE (Public Beta Environment), that won't be the case for much longer. Riot has already confirmed an Arcane VGU (visual update ), with Viktor at the center. League has big plans for 2025, but Viktor's release will come first.
So what do we know about Viktor's rework? News of this rework originally came from dataminers who discovered lines of code and art keys for his update. Viktor will be added to the roster shortly before Mel Medarda, as both are being brought to LoL from Arcane.

Leaked images of an upcoming TFT update have revealed their character models, though they appear in TFT and not in regular LoL. The models are expected to closely resemble their final League of Legends versions. Viktor will also receive a Legendary skin based on Arcane, which explains why his model looks a bit different from his final form in the series.
As for the authenticity of the leaks, here is the evidence.
The leaks from November 5 reveal parts of the show, such as Viktor's final transformation, that were not available to the public before the release of Arcane's final act. In addition, BigBadBear_ shared images of Viktor's concept art, as well as in-game mock ups of how he works. According to the leaker, Viktor's gameplay hasn't changed significantly. His kit will function in a similar way to before, with minor adjustments to his abilities, such as his ult growing as he gets more kills.
