Every decision you make in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl matters, even what you stuff into your backpack.

With limited storage capacity and each item adding weight to the total, overloading can make it difficult to move around. The last thing you want is to find a valuable treasure or a great new weapon and not be able to bring it back to town.

With no skill trees or levels in Stalker 2, you might think that the starting weight limit is what you'll have to carry throughout the game. However, we can show you how to increase your carrying capacity.
There are a few ways to improve your carrying capacity and storage capacity in Stalker 2, and they all focus on upgrading your armor. In any upgrade shop, select your armor from the available options and go to the top upgrade slot. There, you'll find the Swen-on Pockets upgrade at the bottom of the list. This upgrade will increase your capacity by 10%, which may not seem like much, but it's the most we've found. To unlock this upgrade, you need to first acquire the previous ones, so start investing in this tree early.

While it doesn't directly increase your carrying capacity, upgrading the Fastening System to your armor reduces its weight by 2kg, freeing up space for other items. This may seem like a small perk, but in Stalker 2 it's not going to make things any easier, so we need to take advantage of every little advantage we can.
