Adobe is bringing a new mobile app for Adobe Express, giving Android and iOS users access to the same Firefly generative AI features that desktop users have. The new Adobe Express app (available for free beta testing) lets users easily produce creative assets like social media posts, posters, and website banners. Creative Cloud members can now access and edit Photoshop and Illustrator files directly in the mobile app
Users can download the beta version of Adobe Express for free and get premium features like Generative Fill and Text to Image powered by Firefly. The features are available at no additional cost during this trial. We don’t know when it will be available for general release, but premium features will be available with a subscription (starting at $9.99 per month). With this subscription, users will have full access to all of Adobe Express’ tools on both desktop and mobile.

In this beta, Adobe Express users will not see projects from the existing mobile app. After the beta phase, all data from the old app.
The new mobile beta shares the same platform as the desktop version, which means collaborative workflows have been restored if you're using the beta app. This means teams can collaborate on the same creative projects across desktop and mobile devices. Anyone still using the current Adobe Express mobile app won't be able to use these features.

Although the new generative AI capabilities are cloud and not device-based, there are some smartphones that are not compatible with the new beta. The beta version of the Adobe Express mobile app is available on the Google Play Store for Android.
Adobe’s Firefly AI features will be available as standalone apps starting in September 2023. The new Express beta is the first mobile app to feature all of these features alongside other design tools, aiming to enhance users’ creativity in the Express app.
