The first PlayStation State of Play event of 2024 kicked off with a bang on Wednesday, showcasing first-look videos and announcements for some of the biggest titles coming to the console in the coming months.

In the 43-minute presentation, Sony's reveals included a remake of "Until Dawn" for the PlayStation 5, a version of "Dave the Diver" featuring Godzilla, as well as footage from Capcom's "Dragon's Dogma II."
However, these big titles seem small compared to the biggest news of the day, from Hideo Kojima's new project to Ken Levine's highly anticipated BioShock.
Below are the five biggest reveals from PlayStation State of Play 2024.
STELLAR BLADE
The first major look was for ShiftUp’s “Stellar Blade,” a story set on a post-apocalyptic planet Earth where a mysterious hostile force called NA:tive has driven humanity to flee to an extraterrestrial colony. Players take on the role of paratrooper Eve, along with her companions Adam and Lily, on her journey to save humanity from extinction. The game will be released on April 26th.

SILENT HILL
There were two major announcements in the Silent Hill world from Konami. First, the free-to-play game “Silent Hill: The Short Message” launching the same day on PlayStation 5. In the preview footage, a young woman jumps off the top of a building and wakes up in an unfamiliar, hostile environment. She is tormented by a friend with messages, insisting that she cannot leave her prison until she finds what she is looking for. The trailer for the PS5 remake of “Silent Hill 2” was also revealed, but no release date was announced.
JUDAS
BioShock creator Ken Levine’s latest game , “Judas,” has released a new trailer. In it, a young woman with silver hair asks, “What would you do if I told you that every word you say is recorded? Every thought you ever have? Your love, your fear, your hate have been planted in your mind like weeds in a garden. What would you do for yourself? And we both know the answer to that question: nothing.” First-person gameplay footage of the game shows hostile robots, spray-paint accidents, and a cowboy-hat-wearing dinosaur holding a shotgun. No release date has been announced .
RISE OF THE RONIN
A new gameplay trailer for “Rise of the Ronin,” which will be released exclusively on PS5 on March 22, showcases impressive navigation mechanics that allow the protagonist to run, climb, slide, and ride horses. In battle, Japanese mirror swords are combined with weapons imported from abroad. Players can also increase their interest with inventions such as the Fire Pipe, a flamethrower-like piece of ancient technology.
DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH
AND OTHER IP BY HIDEO KOJIMA
In a bizarre trailer for “Death Stranding 2: On The Beach,” Léa Seydoux’s Fragile reveals that she’s leading a new political group, Drawbridge. “You brought America together,” she tells Norman Reedus’ Sam. “But I fear Death Stranding is far from over. Humanity is still in danger. Still on the brink of extinction.” A variety of strange images follow in the nearly 10-minute trailer, from a puppet-like creature hanging from Sam’s hip to Troy Baker’s Higgs fighting with an electric guitar. The game, which also stars Elle Fanning, is due out in 2025.
Following the trailer, legendary game creator Hideo Kojima joined PlayStation Studios head Hermen Hulst to reveal his new action-spy IP, “Physint.” While little was revealed about the project’s content, Kojima tweeted, “Of course, this is also an interactive ‘game,’ but the look, story, theme, cast, acting, fashion, sound, etc. are all so next-level ‘Digital Entertainment’ that it could be called a ‘movie.’” As the State of Play ended, the camera zoomed in on the “Physint” logo beneath a Columbia Pictures sign… whatever that means.

Fans won't have to wait long for another State of Play – the next one is scheduled for February 6th and will be entirely dedicated to "Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth."
