Solid Snake is now the latest character to be added to Fortnite’s ever-expanding universe. The massive battle royale game is known for adding skins that include characters and icons from both video games and pop culture. There’s currently a collaboration between Fortnite and Family Guy, which is just the latest chapter in a series of exciting collaborations. However, the latest update finally introduces Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid to Fortnite, along with some items and surprises that fans of the series are sure to appreciate.

Solid Snake is far from the first iconic video game character to join Fortnite. Kratos, Aloy, Master Chief, and Lara Croft, just to name a few, are all beloved game characters that were added in previous seasons. Fortnite isn't just relying on Family Guy and Metal Gear Solid to attract players. For now, fans can still get My Hero Academia via the in-game store.

Fortnite update v28.10 finally allows players to unlock Solid Snake through the Big Bang Battle Pass. With this update, Fortnite fans can now gain access to the character, as well as a series of missions required to unlock various items, skins, emotes, flag icons, and loading screens. The current Battle Pass is required to unlock Snake and his many additional features. The Big Bang Battle Pass for Chapter 5 – Season 1 can be purchased for 950 V-Bucks, while 1,000 V-Bucks can be purchased from the in-game store for $8.99.

Fortnite's latest update includes two pages of Battle Pass Quests that can be completed to unlock Snake-themed accessories. Completing tasks like sneaking into a cardboard box will unlock a new loading screen, while completing entire pages will unlock new Solid Snake skins. The various quests will remain open until March 8, 2024, at 2 a.m. ET, which likely marks the end of the current season.

In addition to Solid Snake's inclusion, several updates have been implemented, as well as new weekly missions in Fortnite. In addition, the team has added balance and bug fixes. Peter Griffin is also still part of the current Battle Pass. Before his addition, the Family Guy representative was the subject of rumors about his possible participation in Fortnite. Players wishing to unlock the muscular version of the adult comic hero need to reach level 70. In addition, they can unlock gold and flashy versions of the character by completing reward pages. Complete four Page 1 Missions to unlock the Solid Snake Outfit and the Page 2 Missions! The Page 1 Missions can be completed in any order.

BALANCE CHANGES

  • The Enforcer AR has received a slight increase in bullet speed, damage, and headshot damage (and a reduction in bullet drop). This AR was lagging behind and needed a boost to compete with other weapon options.
  • The Reaper Sniper Rifle has received a slight reduction in bullet velocity (and an increase in bullet drop), as many Reaper snipes were too easy to pull off without much retaliation.
  • The Hyper SMG has received an increase in overall accuracy through a tightening of its bullet spread. Like the Enforcer AR, this SMG was lagging behind and needed a boost to compete with other weapon options.
  • Ballistic Shield has received a slight reduction in the damage required to stun the wielder. This equipment option was often too powerful compared to others, especially in Zero Build.
  • Storm cycle speed, running speed, and Energy regeneration have been reset to the same speeds from Chapter 4. These reset speeds better match the current ideal pace of Fortnite BR.

NOTES ABOUT THE MATCHES

  • EMP Stealth Camo, Cardboard Boxes, and Anvil Rocket Launcher are not included in tournaments.

IMPORTANT BUG FIXES

  • Fixed an issue where players could sometimes randomly disappear in Snooty Steppes while navigating along the hill.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause your cursor to move in another direction while gliding and aiming with a sniper rifle.
  • Fixed an issue where using the same Emote with a player in the nearby area could result in you facing the wrong direction.
