In June 2020, T-Mobile experienced another major outage due to a failure in a leased fiber optic line from a third-party provider, leaving tens of thousands of T-Mobile users without an internet and preventing them from being able to make or receive calls.

As T-Mobile told BleepingComputer, the service outage was due to a technical issue and not a cyberattack.

This is not a cyberattack. It is an internal technical issue that has temporarily impacted some platforms. We are working quickly to resolve it.

Update: T-Mobile reported that the outage has been resolved and online accounts are now accessible again.
