Splatoon 3 Frosty Fest will feature the towns of Splatsville and Inkpolis decked out in Christmas and winter decorations during a new Splatfest event. The theme and date of Splatfest have not yet been revealed. However, the previous Frosty Fest held in Splatoon 2 was based on the theme of family or friends, so the theme this time around may be similar.

New gear for Frosty Fest was also revealed by Nintendo. It includes mask-themed headgear. These include the Golden Gala Masque, Octopearl Crown, Coral Wreath, and Dapperdasher Hat. They will be available in the same way that Splatoween outfits were released. Players will need to access the News section of their Switch and launch the game from there, then grab their gear from the party terminal.

It's not just the players who will be dressing up for the event. Both the Deep Cut and the Squid Sisters will be changing up their looks over the course of the weekend. The Deep Cut will be following the theme of new outfits with masquerades, dresses, and top hats. In the Inkopolis DLC expansion, Callie and Marie will be wearing more snow-themed outfits.
The previous Splatfest in Splatoon 3 was themed around greetings. The winner was team Shiver, with the slogan Handshake.
