Adobe has announced Project Sound Lift, an artificial intelligence technology to improve sound quality.
Developed by Adobe Research researchers, Project Sound Lift is a great one-click solution for editing audio recordings. Using artificial intelligence, Project Sound Lift separates elements, such as the sound of a person clapping.
Project Sound Lift will automatically detect each sound and create separate files containing the background noise and the part you want to prioritize, such as someone's voice or the sound of an instrument.

You can then import and edit each track individually in Adobe Premiere Pro.

This allows you to adjust the volume of background noise, enhancing the clarity of the main track. However, it's still in its early stages – Adobe's Project Sound Lift is classified as one of Adobe's "Sneak" previews, which means we'll have to wait a little longer before we see a final version of the tool.
There are other tools with similar capabilities, such as Supertone's Clear and Goyo's voice separator, but they offer options for the user to separate the voice and echo of the file. On the other hand, Adobe's Project Sound Lift is specialized for detecting specific sounds. The
Adobe Enhance Speech is also integrated into Project Sound Lift to transform how creators produce and control content in studios.
This is the same technology used to recover and then re-release the Beatles' first song, "Now and Then," after nearly 30 years. The producers were tasked with restoring the sound of John Lennon's voice from a cassette recording, and they used artificial intelligence to separate the overpowering piano music from Lennon's vocals.
Adobe's Project Sound Lift is available in Adobe applications such as Premiere Pro .
