DJI created the Osmo Pocket , a tiny camera for vlogging. Now it 's bringing the Osmo Pocket 3 steadicam with countless upgrades.
The attention to detail was evident and his successor added some key improvements.
Although the DJI Baby Steadicam now costs $519 (~€492) - a huge increase over its previous models - it has significant improvements. It has a larger sensor, a larger touchscreen, faster autofocus, faster charging, longer battery life, built-in wireless, a built-in joystick, a third microphone, and a smart rotating screen that automatically changes the shooting aspect ratio by clicking in the vertical or horizontal direction.

This sensor is a one-inch CMOS sensor, which is almost three times the size of the 1/1.7-inch sensor in the Pocket 2 and almost four times the size of the original 1/2.3-inch chip. This sensor allows for slow-motion recording up to 4K/120, as well as 1080p at 240 frames per second. It also features “full-pixel” continuous autofocus, meaning that every pixel can be used as a “focusing pixel.”
The screen is 4.7 times larger than its predecessor. It's a OLED display that can display the full P3 color gamut. The screen is clear, sharp, colorful, and large enough to allow for easy navigation. With a maximum brightness of 700 nits, it's bright enough for outdoor use.
With the Pocket 3, remote monitoring requires neither a joystick nor an adapter. This new version integrates a larger joystick and Wi-Fi directly into the Pocket 3, including support for DJI's wireless clip-on microphone.
It also has a $49 wide-angle lens that snaps on magnetically. The $519 basic kit comes with a basic extension that adds a 1/4-inch tripod mount thread and redirects the USB-C charging port. There's a larger $69 battery grip that extends battery life by up to 70% and adds the same 1/4-inch mount to the bottom.

The $669 Creator Combo kit comes with all of that, plus the wireless microphone, windscreen, and magnetic clip, as well as a mini tripod mount. There's also a magnetic ND filter kit for $59 and a black mist filter for $49.
In terms of battery life, 1080p24 video playback time has been increased to 166 minutes, compared to 140 minutes offered by the Pocket 2. According to DJI, you can get two hours of 4K/60 video on a single charge. In addition, the charging speed has been improved, as it takes just 16 minutes to reach 80% and 32 minutes to fully charge, as long as you use a 65W PD adapter.
