Cyrusher is known for its electric bikes , but now it seems to have created a new electric surfboard, called the Cyrusher Thunder .
With a top speed of 70 km/h, Cyrusher claims to have created an electric board that can “beat” the current industry leaders.

The 66-inch (1.68-meter) board uses a launch pump with a continuous-rated 5 kW electric motor and a rated maximum power of 10 kW

A waterproof 72V, 50Ah battery offers a capacity of 3.6 kWh. According to Cyrusher, this battery is enough for up to 60 minutes of usebefore needing a two to three hour recharge.
Unlike many electric surfboards that have a wireless transmitter for the remote control, the Cyrusher Thunder uses a wired remote control.
Adjustable leg bindings are included for riders who want to try more “dangerous” turns and tricks. However, casual riders can start without them.

The board weighs 18kg dry, making it easy to transport from a car to the water. However, the battery adds another 22kg, meaning the Cyrusher Thunder electric surfboard can ultimately be a bit heavy for those last few metres.
Cyrusher is offering the board for $9,999 US (reduced from $11,999 US).

It remains to be seen whether an electric bike company could produce such a powerful surfboard and whether or not it will live up to its published specifications . If it is that good, it is expected to introduce new dynamics to the water sports sector. Capable of reaching speeds of up to 70 km/h, the Cyrusher Thunder offers unrivaled power and maneuverability.
