Diablo IV is a game where players fight to keep evil locked away behind the gates of hell. Players kill enemies to become stronger and continue this cycle. Recently, players discovered an incredibly powerful Druid build that can deal over a billion damage. Twitch streamer Moxsy tweeted that he achieved the highest damage ever in Diablo 4, but it was soon surpassed.

Moxsy dealt over 1.8 billion damage a day later and a member of the Maxroll team, Boiler, broke the 2‑billion damage barrier. Another player, SquishyWarrior943, achieved almost 5 billion. The Druid build is currently the fastest enemy clear in Diablo IV. It revolves around a “double‑dive interaction” with the Aspect Stormclaw and Waxing Gibbous, allowing “crazy ramping damage”.

The double damage against vulnerable enemies counts twice, resulting in roughly a quadruple multiplier. An upgrade of this build, “Lightning Shred Druid 2.0”, uses the Aspect Grizzly Rage to transform into a Dire Werewolf, allowing more Shred spamming. Another Aspect, the Rampaging Werebeast, accumulates additional critical damage per hit. This allowed players to reach billions in damage per hit.
Moxsy said the damage increase seems random and likely bugged. Killing a lot of things in Grizzly Rage and snowballing makes it more stable. It's unlikely this is intentional by Blizzard and they might release a patch to improve it. Druids currently reign supreme in Diablo IV as overly powerful killers in the late game. We'll see how things play out when Season of the Malignant launches on July 20th.
