Despite the limited success of the Razr foldables, Motorola hasn't given up on the series. This year, rumors suggest that the company will expand the Razr 2023 lineup with two new additions, with a slight change in name: the Razr 40 and the Razr 40 Ultra. The latter's specs have already leaked, showing off its massive cover display. Motorola has also been teasing the imminent launch of these foldable devices. Now, a new leak details the Razr 40 Ultra's internal specs.

A report from XDA claims that the Razr 40 Ultra will use Qualcomm 's latest-generation Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip . While it's not as fast as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 from 2023, this SoC is still powerful enough to easily run all the heavy apps and games . This will be paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
Most importantly, it's very efficient, so there shouldn't be any concerns about battery life or overheating. This is important because the phone is rumored to use a 3,640mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Interestingly, Motorola isn't using Qualcomm's flagship chip in its foldable flagship. On the other hand, this should allow the company to price the Razr 40 Ultra more competitively, at least in the US - European pricing is rumored to start at around €1,200.

For the main camera, Motorola plans to use the 12MP Sony IMX563 sensor, while the ultra-wide-angle shooter is a 13MP SK Hynix Hi1336 sensor. A 32MP OmniVision OV32B40 sensor will do duty as the selfie camera.
The Razr 40 Ultra's internal display will reportedly feature a FHD+ (2640×1080) resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate. As for the outer display, it will apparently have a resolution of 1056×1066. Motorola has previously confirmed that the Razr 40 Ultra's flip display will be 3.5 inches, which is the largest for a flip phone. It appears that the company is also offering an option to force incompatible apps to run on the outer display.
At least one variant of the Razr 40 Ultra will feature dual-SIM, eSIM, and possibly even ultra-wideband support. Additionally, a fingerprint sensor will be integrated into the side power button.

Considering all the leaks and teasers from Motorola, the Razr 40 Ultra and its cheaper sibling should be released pretty soon.
