In just two months, we'll be getting a taste of iOS 17 - the next iPhone update that's sure to bring a ton of changes and upgrades. According to reports, it may not include some major groundbreaking features, like the lock screen in iOS 16 or the app library in iOS 16. However, that shouldn't stop us from getting excited about what's coming!

Compatibility
When iOS 16 arrived last fall, it ended support for a few notable iPhones: the original SE, as well as the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, and iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. After a report that Apple would ditch the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus and iPhone X this year, it now appears that won't be the case, giving those 2017 iPhones another year of life.
"Most requested features"
While the details of iOS 17 remain unknown until Apple unveils it, what we do know is tantalizing. Recent reports from Mark Gurman have suggested that some of the most requested features among iPhone users will be integrated into iOS 17. What's exciting is that some speculation suggests that Control Center will receive significant improvements - and it goes without saying that this upgrade is highly desirable!

Necessary maintenance
Apple used to release “maintenance” versions of Mac OS X with reverence, which focused on improving performance and stability as opposed to incorporating new features. While these updates may not seem impressive, they are absolutely necessary for our devices to run at their optimal speed and efficiency. We have yet to witness this with iOS devices, but it could certainly help give the impression of a renewed energy boost when using older iPhones!
Dynamic Island 2.0
Last year, Apple launched its innovative Dynamic Island feature with the iPhone 14 Pro, and reports suggest that it will be included in all upcoming iPhone 15 models. It seems like Apple wants this revolutionary interface to become a staple among users – and iOS 17 is expected to further develop it. Just imagine the possibilities! We can’t wait to see what future plans Apple has for Dynamic Island.

Next-generation CarPlay
At WWDC 2022, Apple gave us a preview of the upcoming version of CarPlay and its exciting UI design that can control more than just your car 's infotainment system . While we only got a few screenshots and an assurance of vehicle announcements in 2023 this time around, we expect to see a lot more about it during the iOS 17 portion of the presentation.
