Xbox: Will remove 46 games from the marketplace

As is known, all video games eventually come to an end, that's their nature, but this time it's not a game from Electronic Arts or Epic Games - The issue now is Microsoft's decision, which will remove 46 games from the Xbox 360 marketplace on February 7. This "deletion" will include some of the most well-known game titles, such as " Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood " from 2010, " Dark Souls " from 2011 and " The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings". IGN reported that Xbox has shared the full list of games that will be removed from the market, although the list may vary slightly depending on the country.
If you already own the CD or previously downloaded the game on Xbox 360, then you will still be able to play it.
The removal of the games, however, will not affect Xbox One or Xbox Series consoles through Xbox Game Pass or the Microsoft Store.

If you want to get any of the games included in the Xbox list, you will need to do so quickly, as this will be your last chance to buy them - digitally at least.

The Xbox 360, which first launched in 2005, still has an active marketplace and a dedicated community of gamers.
Even though there are no new games being released for the console, Microsoft is still letting gamers buy their favorite titles from the marketplace.

Some of the 46 games that will be removed from the marketplace on February 7, including major titles like Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, have remastered versions available on newer systems.
So while the removal will affect some less popular titles, most gamers who want to experience older prime gameswill not be significantly affected.

This information was confirmed by Microsoft, which announced that it will no longer make any games “backward compatible.” As a result, older games will no longer be playable on newer consoles. One example is the 2008 game “Prince of Persia,” which was published by Ubisoft – it is no longer available on the Xbox platform and has been removed from Xbox Game Pass. While 46 Xbox 360 games are being removed, players who have already purchased these titles will be able to re-download them as often as they want from the marketplace . This eliminates the need to constantly keep games on your Xbox’s ( relatively small ) hard drive that you may not be playing at the time. At least until they completely remove the marketplace Xbox 360 . It should be noted that the closure of the Xbox 360 Marketplace was announced for May 2023, but Microsoft later clarified that the announcement was posted “in error” and that the marketplace will not close then.
