The leak season seems to have begun in earnest, with yet another "obsolete" prototype appearing online. This time, an early build of Prey dating back to 1995 has been leaked, some 11 years before its final release in 2006 on Xbox 360 and PC.

Prey's long development process was due to the ambitious goal of real-time portals, which ultimately cost them dearly and caused delays in the project.
Eventually, however, the game was made available and the public showed both a huge and positive response.
A sequel was also planned (it was in development), although after the acquisition of the rights by Zenimax Media, Bethesda, the sequel was ultimately shelved.
Prey was "reborn" as a game by Arkane Studios in 2017 and released under the exact same name.
Thanks to the leak of a very early build of the game, fans of the original game can now look back at the past, when the game was in its early stages of creation.
In addition, anyone with a strong interest can download and play it. It will take a bit of work to get it running, as the software is too old to run on a modern PC.
However, with DOSbox and some useful information from where the prototype was uploaded , it should be fairly easy to get the Prey 1995 demo running.
Keep in mind that this is a demo with fairly limited functionality. For fans of the original Prey and those who remember the initial hype surrounding the game in the 90s, it's still an interesting leak and probably worth playing around with.

In other leaks, Ubisoft's Rayman 4, which was canceled in 2006, has also leaked online.
Rayman 4 and source code , along with editing tools, have been made available online, allowing fans to see what could have been if Phoenix Studio had been allowed to go ahead with their idea for the super-punching hero!
