As Google Stadia refunds continue to roll out — they started last month — some players are seeing refunds for their Stadia Pro subscriptions. While that's great for them, it's actually just a bug. Stadia Pro was released to the public on November 19, 2019 as a premium cloud gaming service developed by Google . The basic version allowed you to play at resolutions up to 1080p , while the monthly subscription Stadia Pro version allowed you to play at resolutions up to 4k . While Google had previously announced that it would not issue refunds for Pro subscriptions before September 29, 2022, there is now confusion.
Many Reddit users are noticing that they are being refunded by Google for their premium .
The lucky ones who took advantage of the mistake will not be asked to return the money.

The screenshot above shows the refunds for each month of Stadia Pro usage.
There aren't that many reports of these errors, but most of them come from people in the UK. You can spend the money without fearif you get credited, because Google won't ask you for the money back.

To see if you're one of those who got your money back, you'll go to "Your Google Play Order Cancellation Receipt" in your Play Store account inbox.
With Stadia Pro, you could play games like Tomb Raider, Elder Scrolls Online, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and more.
1On January 8, 2023, the Stadia era will officially end. It leaves a bittersweet aftertaste for Google's developers, as it was an attempt to beat the competition in gaming.
