Elon Musk is now firing Twitter employees who criticize him on private communication channels, like Slack.
On Tuesday, Twitter owner Elon Muskrevealed to employees that he was monitoring everything, even their conversations on the company's internal channels. This means that Elon Musk knew what was being said (e.g. via Slack) about him behind his back and paid particular attention to negative comments.
“I would like to apologize for firing these geniuses. Their immense talent will undoubtedly be very useful elsewhere,” Musk wrote on Twitter Tuesday afternoon.

According to Platformer, several Twitter employees who criticized their new boss, Elon Musk, in the company's internal Slack channels were fired overnight. The exact number is unknown, but it appears to be around 20 people , Platformer reports. Some employees received emails telling them they were fired overnight.
On Tuesday, Nick Magnet, a former software engineer at the company and head of the Tweet Service, posted a screenshot of an email he received from the human resources department.
“We regret to inform you that your employment is being terminated immediately,” the email said. “Your recent behavior has violated company policy.”

According to his LinkedIn profile, Morgan had worked at Twitter for more than 11 years. He tweeted that he fired may have beendidn’t show 100% loyalty to Slack,that because he “ ” adding many of his former colleagues have had similar experiences.
Sasha Solomon, a software engineer and co-lead of the Core API platform team, said she was also fired for “shitposting.”
“lol I just got fired for shitposting. I said it before and I’ll say it again. Kiss my f***, Elon,” Solomon wrote.
@nickrw ,an engineer who worked at Twitter, and Jesse Feinman, a senior software engineer, said they were fired for the same reason (negative comments about Elon Musk on Slack).
On Tuesday, @nickrw was fired after previously publicly criticizing Musk. Just a day earlier, on Monday, @nickrw took to the platform to voice his opinion, this time addressing Musk about microservices.

“This is what happens when you fire everyone who could give you advice that would, supposedly, prevent you from publicly embarrassing yourself,” said @nickrw.
On Monday, the Twitter owner also fired software Eric Frohnhoefer via tweet. This happened even though Frohnhoefer had been with the company for more than eight years. Musk admitted that he fired the engineer after he tried to correct him publicly on Twitter.
Musk has been at the helm of Twitter since late October and has already laid off thousands of employees in an effort to cut costs and bring changes to the company. The whole situation has brought chaos to the social networking company and things are getting even worse, since Elon Musk is now also firing employees who speak negatively about him or dare to criticize him.
