Is it possible to hide a friend on Facebook from another friend? The answer to this question is no. Hide your friends list on Facebook (desktop)
- If you're using a Windows, Mac, Linux , or Chromebook, open a browser and visit Facebook. Log in to your account if you haven't already.
- Then, from the top right corner of Facebook, select your profile icon (or the down arrow) and select Settings & Privacy > Settings.
- In “Settings”, from the left sidebar, select “Privacy”.
- In the right pane, scroll down to the “How People Find and Contact You” section. Here, next to “Who Can See Your Friends List?”, select “Edit.”
- In the same section (Who Can See Your Friends List?), click the drop-down menu and select “Friends Except.”
- In the “Friends Except” window, select the person you want to hide your Facebook friends list from. You can add multiple people here.
- Save your changes by clicking “Save Changes” at the bottom of the window.

After this, Facebook will not show your friends list to the people you selected. Those not on this list will still be able to see who you are friends with.
Hide your friends list on Facebook (mobile)
- On an iPhone, iPad, or Android, open the Facebook app. Then, in the top-right corner of the app, tap the profile icon. On an iPhone, tap the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) in the bottom-right corner.
- Scroll down to the “Menu” page and select Settings & Privacy > Settings.
- Scroll down until you reach “Audience and Visibility” and then tap “How People Find and Contact You.”
