Shortly after the branding for the Xbox Game Pass Friends and Family program leaked online, Microsoft confirms that the leak was accurate.

The Xbox Game Pass Friends and Family websites have launched in Colombia and Ireland. In Ireland, the service costs €21.99 per month, while Colombian players will be charged $49 COP (€50).
Earlier in 2022, Windows Central reported that Microsoft was moving forward with an Xbox Game Pass family plan. Microsoft then confirmed those plans in August 2022, revealing that a family plan option would be tested in Ireland and Colombia.
Recently, branding images were leaked that showed that the service would be called Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family, a brand that is confirmed by the official websites that are now live.

The Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family program allows up to five players to play together, with one main account and up to four other players invited. Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family includes all the benefits of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, including Xbox Live Gold and EA Play.
In the official FAQ for the service, Microsoft specified the amount of time a player will have if they have an existing subscription when upgrading to the Friends & Family plan.
- Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for 30 days will be converted to 18 days of Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family
- Xbox Game Pass 30 days will become 12 days Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family
- 30-day PC Game Pass will become 12 days of Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family
- 30-day Xbox Live Gold will become 12 days of Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family
- EA Play for 30 days will be converted into 6 days of Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family
There is currently no timeline for when the service will launch in the rest of the world, although Microsoft notes that it may begin testing in other countries and regions over time.
