According to Mark Gurman , iOS 16 , codenamed “Sydney,” will include “significant” improvements to notifications and new health-tracking features. However, it won’t bring a major redesign of iOS. Apple’s new operating system is said to be unveiled at this year’s WWDC , which will take place June 6-10. The 33rd annual developer conference will be held online, and Apple is expected to give a glimpse of iOS 16, iPadOS 16, watchOS 9, tvOS 16, and the next version of macOS.

As for iOS 16, Gurman writes in his latest Power On newsletterthat he doesn't expect a major redesign of the operating system, but that the changes will be related to improvements to notifications and health-tracking features,
“I don't expect a major redesign of the iOS interface, even though it hasn't changed much since iOS 7, almost a decade ago. But there could be a new multitasking interface in iPadOS“.

As we said above, iOS 16, along with iPadOS 16, watchOS 9, tvOS 16, and macOS 13, will be presented at WWDC.
Gurman said watchOS 9 could feature “significant upgrades to activity and health tracking.” Not many details have been released about macOS 13. macOS Big Sur introduced a major redesign, followed by a less significant update with macOS Monterey.
Finally, according to Gurman, Apple is working on several new Macs, including a new redesigned MacBook Air, a refreshed 13-inch MacBook Pro, an updated 24-inch iMac, and a new Mac mini.

iOS 16
iOS 16 will be the next major update to the iPhone operating system. Apple typically announces the next iOS at its annual WWDC conference and releases a public beta shortly after. Of course, we'll learn more details at WWDC.

However, it's possible that we'll see iOS 16 released in September, as new iOS versions usually arrive at the same time as new iPhones. Last year, for example, Apple released iOS 15 on September 20, about a week after the iPhone 13 event. If Apple's iPhone 14 event takes place this September, we could see iOS 16 soon as well.
