Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella's son, Zain Nadella, has died at the age of 26. He had been battling palsy since birth.
The company informed its top executives of Zain Nadella's death in an email. The message asked executives to send their thoughts and condolences to the Nadella family. According to Geekwire, MicrosoftKathleen Hogan said that she knows everyone wants to support Satya during this difficult time, but the best way to do that is to think and pray for him and his family, giving them the privacy they need to grieve.

Nadella's son, the oldest of his three children, suffered asphyxia during pregnancy and was born weighing 2.4 pounds (1.4 kg). Zain Nadella was cared for at Seattle Children's Hospital for most of his life.
The Microsoft CEO and his wife, Anu, donated $15 million to Seattle Children's Hospital. Additionally, Children's Hospital CEO Jeff Sperring said Zain will be remembered for his exquisite taste in music, his bright smile, and the boundless joy he brought to his family and all who loved him. Satya Nadella has not yet made a public statement about his son's death.

In his 2017 memoir, Satya Nadella spoke of being devastated when he learned the details of his son's birth and issues . He also said that he was initially saddened by what had happened to him and Anu, but she helped him understand that what was happening to Zain was not about Satya himself and that he should understand and deal with the situation with empathy, as well as accept the responsibility that a parent has towards their child.
