Poco X4 Pro 5G: The first phone with a 108 megapixel camera

Those who follow the Chinese mobile market may remember that Poco was Xiaomi's budget mobile division. Since the company decided to "escape" from Xiaomi, it has been impressing us by increasing the range of budget devices it offers to consumers. Today at MWC, the company is showing off a new flagship, the Poco X4 Pro 5G, as well as a non-5G version of the M4 Pro.

The Poco X4 Pro 5G features a 6.67-inch, FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a backlight that emits up to 700 nits. Poco hopes to attract new customers with the promise of a 108-megapixel main camera with an f/1.9 aperture flanked by an “8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter” and a 2-megapixel macro lens. Meanwhile, on the front there is a 16-megapixel camera with an f/1.4 aperture. Inside, however, lies the “premium midrange” Snapdragon 695 5G that is combined with either 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage or 8GB of RAM / 256GB. There is support for an additional 1TB of storage, as well as a 67W charger that comes in the box since the 5,000mAh battery supports 67W fast charging. Finally, it's worth noting that the phone comes with high-resolution audio certification and a 3.5mm headphone port.

If you're looking for something more affordable, Poco has also announced a non-5G version of the Poco M4 Pro. Specifically, it features a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 64-megapixel rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture, and battery with support for 33W charging. The device is powered by the MediaTek Helio G96 processor, which can be purchased with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, or 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

At this time, however, we don't know if any of these phones will be available for purchase in the US and Europe or how much they will cost. That said, a cached listing on Amazon France suggests that the X4 Pro will launch, at least in France, for €350 (around $392).
